The Black Rebel Motorcycle Club have been on the scene now for 11 years. Getting their groove on to a sound that’s retro garage, mixed with thundering 21st Century attitude. Now they offer us the latest Track Of The Day. Check out all the Tracks Of The Day.

Started by guitarist Peter Hayes and bassist Robert Levon Been in their native San Francisco, the band took their name from the classic 1953 teenage rebellion movie The Wild One, and they’ve got the same attitude as the one Marlon Brando made infamous in that film.

Beat The Devil’s Tattoo is the band’s sixth studio album, a run that began with 1999′s B.R.M.C. It sees Hayes and Been joined by Leah Shaprio, the band’s third drummer. The three spent six months in a cold basement studio just outside Philadelphia, working on the songs. Says Been of the experience: “It was like a family again, living together and working really closely like that. Something happened to us out there though, I’m not sure if we beat back our demons, or if we just let them take us over completely. But strange days make for strange times.

“To me music connects everyone and everything, that is the light. If we’re able to write something, and someone can relate to it, or feel something from it, the light is blinding”
